"I want to contribute to helping others grow and improve their skills"
~ Previous Volunteer

The school has many volunteer opportunities. LPHCS is always seeking volunteers to assist in all programs. Volunteer opportunities consist of tutoring for Basic Literacy, ESOL or GED. We are also open to holding workshops for the students and community, such as financial planning or career development. Volunteers may also assist with clerical work, such as updating database, filing papers, distributing flyers, etc.

LPHCS also is in partnership with the AmeriCorps program through the Urban Appalachian Council's "Project Ace". We depend on AmeriCorps volunteers to teach students in several areas. To find out more about AmeriCorps Program visit, www.americorps.org. To find out about specific AmeriCorps needs at LPHCS, contact the school.

Volunteering is an important part of our programs; staff and students truly value and appreciate all assistance!
